this is essentially about Joan Didion's daughter who dies shortly following the death of her husband it's about her coming to town to the loss of her daughter but really understanding what loss of a child is
I underlined so many things in here but the reason why this is such an important so fit for me is I use this book to make a really important decision in my life
these short stories are exactly the kind of short stories I wish I could write they are really dark but so beautiful and they just each and every one of them kind of struck me
I found it a really engaging fast first read not my first read on kind of race relations but with the kind of all the emotion there I suppose a lot of the things I've read have been quite cold and this wasn't cold at all
this is actually collection that has stayed with me throughout the year it's just the writing so beautiful
this is a story about the death of a young girl who is the daughter of someone very high up in the police department her death is investigated by a police officer for a police officer who is very stereotypically female police officer
this is the book that taught me the most in the year 2017 I've read lots of nonfiction this year but this is the one that kind of opened up a great week all of my knowledge all at once and I really love it for that
