FrankensteinMary Shelley
Not a fan

I didn't love it at all. I'm not sure if it was Jamie Bell's narration that was just a bit unengaging or if the romantic flowery language of the time just annoyed me.

MarcherChris Beckett
Loved it

Becket spends quite a lot of time musing over the multiverse concept... I found that really interesting. I give March an 8 out of 10.

On Vicious WorldsBethany Jacobs
Loved it

For the most part, I think that Jacobs avoids the pitfalls of a second book of three. There's enough story and enough things happening in this one to make it interesting.

QuarantineGreg Egan
Neutral

It's only my second novel that I read of his quarantine being the other one and I found that was just about manageable on the difficulty stakes.

Schild's ladderGreg Egan
Mixed

I found it borderline incomprehensible for much of the time, at least as far as the physics were concerned. My eyes frequently glazed over and it felt too much like homework for much of the book.

SlanA. E. van Vogt
Mixed

I must say I did find Avan Vot's writing style a little bit dry in this book and as a result I never found that I really got engaged with the story or the characters.

White QueenGwyneth Jones
Loved it

I like the dynamic between Johnny and Braar, their relationship founded on deceit, but ultimately worth more than that by the end of the book. And I thought that the illusions were really done well.
