Favorite Books of 2017

this third book in the series was one of my favorite series conclusions of all time it had stakes and characters that were developed in ways that was just it was heartbreaking but also wonderful

a darker shade of magic was my number one absolute favorite book of 2016

I also read the third book this year beneath the sugar sky which comes out in a couple of weeks yet another wonderful part of the series

my favorite book of the series is easily blue Lily blue which is the third one I think it has my favorite side characters my favorite romance moments and my favorite moments where these friends start to break through the walls that they've established and see each other on deeper levels

it is just an incredibly fitting a sequel to every heart a doorway

it's one of the weirdest books I've ever read but also one of the most fantastic and I can't wait to read it again and discover new things about it when I do

I finished this book and immediately wanted to give it to everyone I know it struck me with something new to think about on every single page

this book is hilarious and charming and I just enjoyed every second of it

it was practically perfect in every way it has three main characters that sly off the page it mixes the magical and the modern effortlessly it's funny it's a little bit queer

it was just a book that I could not help but adore I finished it and then when I came home from work the next day I came home excited to read it before I remembered that I'd already come to the end of the story

it definitely stood up to the hype and the praise and is of course one of my favorite books this year

I loved this book for so many reasons namely becky albertalli can just bright teenagers in a way that i adore that feels real and wonderful

it is a heartbreaking exploration of mental health family relationships and romantic relationships as Henry starts to fall for a boy named Diego

this is an absolutely gorgeously written book that I could not believe when I put it down I was crying through the end
