A Court of Mist and Fury, I just finished my reread. I've read it I think like four times now. And I think that Sarah J. Maas writes found family so well, which is why I'm so obsessed with these, especially like this one I sob every time I read it.
I've read over 2000 romance books, and these are my top 10 favorites 📖 best books of all time

My OG angsty all-time favorite is A Love Letter to Whiskey. And so this one is encapsulates my love for angst. I love when characters are broken and I love when there is something that's causing them not to be able to be together.
So this is a throwback to when I became hyper fixated on Black Dagger Brotherhood and I will say this is probably still an all-time favorite of mine. I would love to reread this as well and that is Lover Awakened the emotional trauma the series gave me but the series was so good.
I read this I think in a day and that is going to be made by Ali Hazelwood... I think Ali Hazelwood is a genius. She writes obsessive men so well that you're just like I love him... It was one of my favorites of last year and I'm obsessed.
But, we have Saint by Sierra Simone. I really do enjoy Sierra Simone's books... And I cried reading this, and I love these characters so much, and I think that Sierra Simone is a beautiful writer. Love this book so much, so it will be an all-time favorite.
Sea of Ruin by Pam Godwin is a dark pirate romance. I love pirate romances... this one I actually didn't even rate five stars because there is a non-con dub con scene in here, and that I wish the author hadn't written it that way, but everything else about this book... I love this so much, and they're pirates.
If you remember how obsessed I was with this book when it came out, and I literally didn't have to stop talking about it... I read this in 2022. Four years since I read this book, and it's still ingrained in me. Like I remember so many scenes from here so vividly.
And in this one, she is kidnapped by a highwayman and that's all I can say. I think characters in here are so good, very damaged. The romance was epic. I loved this one so much but there's also a twist in here that I loved.
I was blown away by this book and so Ian Mackenzie is our hero. He actually is on the autism spectrum and so he obviously in this time period they did not understand anything about that... he falls in love with someone and it is so incredibly good.
