now i will say that there is a point in this book where i hit a bit of a slump but when i picked it back up to finish it for the live show it pulled me right out of my slump so it both put me in a reading slump and brought me out of the reading slump
RANKING EVERY BOOK I READ IN JANUARY
this is a non-fiction book that follows the life of sadako who dealt with complications years after the bombing of hiroshima ... it's a beautiful depiction of this girl's life that yes was plagued with tragedy but also had a lot of hopeful moments throughout it
this graphic novel was stunning in every sense of the word y'all i mean stunning from the illustrations to just the story overall to just the characters stunning ... it ended up filling my love tank all the way to the top baby we've got a new favorite book baby
this ended up being a really soft fantasy when i went into it thinking that it'd be like a sword flinging whiplash action-packed kind of fantasy it can always throw me off when i go into a book with certain expectations and those expectations aren't met but i vibed with this book i enjoyed it for what it is
the thing that i liked about this book is that it wasn't drowning in grief while that is a big portion of this book and it deals with death and grief and all of those things it does not drown the book in it ... while i love this one it just still did not reach favorite level
