this is such a sweet and wholesome graphic novel and I highly recommend it. Not only are the illustrations like super warm and cozy and kind of have like autumnal colors all throughout it. Like the story itself is just so sweet and precious and about like misunderstandings and coming to understandings after having misunderstandings.

I've got here Gory Details which is one of my all-time favorite non-fiction books. If you are looking for a very disturbing read, I highly recommend checking this one out. It will make you question a lot of things and also have you freaked out.
I read this quite a while ago and so it's kind of like a little bit blurry in my mind, but I do remember feeling like it was a very impactful read. Like it's kind of fun and silly, but it also still like hits you really hard. Even though it is a little bit blurry in my mind, I would still recommend it.
I'm also cheating for this prompt though because I'm doing this picture book that I have checked out from the library currently called Hardly Haunted. I've been reading a lot of picture books lately for my job... it's about this little haunted house as you can see with all the lovely illustrations inside.
I've talked about this series several times on my channel because I adore it so much. It's the perfect graphic novel series to read around Halloween time. This is about these two twins who are witches and they missed their bus to magical school and this kind of sends them into a world of chaos.
When I tell you this book had me shook to my core, I MEAN SHOOK. I WAS NOT expecting this book to like mess with me in the way that it did. It's a young adult thriller and I don't know if I would like, while reading it, kind of had skepticism cuz I feel like often times a lot of young adult thrillers can be a little bit on the predictable side... This one I didn't see what was coming.
If you have not read this series, you got to get on it. It's so freaking good. I've only read the first two books. I've not picked up and read the third book. It's heartwarming, it's adorable, and it's also got a bit of a mystery element involved as well.
I read The Sunbearer Trials last year and was obsessed with it. I think this ended up in my best books of 2024 video because it was that good and I've yet to get around to the sequel because as you guys know, I'm terrible at sequels.
This is a fascinating read where the magic within the world is determined by your hair length and we are following a main character who is choosing to not conform to the ideas set in front of her. But I highly recommend it. It's really fantastic.
