I also think this book is a little bit forgettable. Of all of the books, I think this is the least memorable, and there are more interesting dynamics, more interesting pairings.

I do think Kip puts like a weird amount of pressure on him, and it's very Insta-lovey. It's not just cheesy, but an entire charcuterie board. I just needed it to feel a little bit more realistic, I think.
It really does keep you on your toes. You really are rooting for these two. It's fast-paced, it's swoon-worthy, but with understandable bumps in the road, I think.
In Role Model, I think Rachel Reid really hits her stride. I was nearly ready to give up on the series at this point. This one kind of bucks that trend. Although technically I suppose the narrative arc is still the same template, this one has a lot more substance, I think.
In this book, Rachel Reid is detailing a relationship between two people with deep affection for one another. And while their physical chemistry is undeniable, their emotional connection is even more intimate, I think. And that's what makes this my favorite.
This is a couple you can genuinely root for and empathize with even if it does take them just a little too long to actually get together.
