The Worst Books of 2020!

i just expected something entirely different it's a romance but i felt like mostly it was about the relationship between the main character and her son which wasn't necessarily a bad thing but it was just very depressing

part of the reason why i hate this book is because of its personal effect on me i don't think it's like a bad book one the story didn't entirely mesh with me to be honest and i really didn't care for the art style of it

i liked the fact that it was set in germany and it transported me to a different time period a different place and it had like the nutcracker part of it was really cool so it had some kind of festive vibes to it but it just i don't know it never quite like i never quite understood

i struggled a lot with it and that's why i didn't end up finishing it obviously so it's dual perspective but i felt like the characters were way too similar it was very hard to distinguish between their two voices

i was very confused i feel like i was missing something i don't know if it's just me being dumb but like i was like are these monsters real are they metaphorical and i just didn't really get what was going on

i will say this pulled me in entirely in the beginning i was super intrigued by everything about it and it did have that like royalty aspect that i thought this election did really well but i felt like i never really understood the world it didn't really make sense

i think the biggest issue overall was just that i was bored it was like a really passive romance and i think that's probably because like they didn't see each other that much

i also have read the siren which is a book that she originally had self-published and then ended up publishing traditionally and i didn't really like the siren
