you need to get this book if you haven't gotten it so freaking good

that just grabbed me up real quick was this feeling of a generation and a slightly generational trauma through this curse the way she writes it you get enveloped and it's hard to stop reading it's just so so well done

it's an intense story it makes you mad as hell but there other upsides to the story is that there are some of the most beautiful nature descriptions throughout the entire book it's tough to read in places but I tell you it's a perfect book in every sense of the word cover to cover perfect book

oh my God this book oh this book is so freaking good I mean it tells the story of these black women in bondage in slavery and tells their story with such finesse and such accuracy so much emotion this book had me like in a Chokehold like you will not believe
