this book oh my god took me two months to read i read it as a buddy read with patrice we had a great time reading it because we realized how much we did not know about british history

my goodness what a story this is it's a journey and stories that are clinched on this idea of a journey always have so many things that you know they tried to teach us or tell us

this is the story of akim who is trying to get from syria to france to join his wife and his and his in-laws and it is harrowing to say the least

just a really good read had me on the edge of my seat at some points

this book is so good the writing is phenomenal and gabrieltalent does something really particular with the writing of this story

sugar is such a fantastic book this is another one if you haven't read it because it's been out a long time 20 years y'all come on where y'all at y'all need to read this
