was kind of a mess I think this was a mess and it's so unfortunate because Alexis Henderson is one of my favorite writers ... her authorial voice is so good and the book could have been so good
Would I Recommend these Books to my 2014 Self?
is a very good book I don't know that I could have appreciated it the same way when I was 24 and not reading much general fiction ... it's really well paced ... I gave it a four not a five because of things that I talked about in the Vlog
I don't like their relationship at all I think she was way too pushy and forward with him ... I thought it was extremely boring
they were really short some of them too short ... not one actually sticks in my mind as a memorable read that I want to tell you about ... I wouldn't recommend it to myself but I might recommend it to you
somebody actually asked me like how did I feel about her writing style I liked it but I don't think this is how any of her other books are written ... I gave this a four and this a three but I would want to read more from her as far as an actual novel goes
this I gave a two but I think there's the potential that 2014 me could give this a three if not a four ... I didn't like that gimmick but 2014 me would have liked the gimmick
I actually gave them both a three which thinking about it now feels a little bit wrong but the writing was decent which I was surprised by ... I absolutely hate the man decks in them

as an actual Standalone Nolla this was so disappointing it had so much potential and I said in the live show that this felt like she felt too attached to her characters and then didn't want anything bad H to happen to them so she just cut off the book
I thought it was fun to follow
it is a proper haunted story it's brutal and I liked it enough I gave it a 3.5 3.75
In the Valley of the Headless Men by LP Hernandez is a story of these men who go on a trip after a parent has passed and it's Cosmic horror
the writing was really solid we get to see her succeed we get to see her fail and I just thought it was a perfectly well-rounded book for me at this big age
I didn't love the writing but it wasn't bad there was a lot of different tones a lot of different types of characters and I just thought it was it was a fine time
the chapters are also very short and it was just fun it was fast-paced it was interesting to read it's not my favorite thing but I think I would have liked it
it's just the perfect weird little Nolla ... I think this is a really good noela I think most people will like ... I thought it was very good
because that just has a lot more time to flesh out relationships it is a slower horror but it's also a very social horror
this was an exhausting read maybe I would have found it equally maybe I would have found it too exhausting actually ... it's her mom just kind of berting her for 100 pages but it then also does get really up
this one just didn't work for me in the same way I found it kind of weak in the writing and the plot ... but this one was still good
I really surprised myself with enjoying Throne of the Fallen last year ... I reread it this month and I'm really glad that I did ... I give it a four I'm sticking with my four
