I did a video about books that made you swoon, and I too swooned. My highest rating from here was A Rivalry of Hearts, which I gave a 4.25, I think.

Best Offer Wins by Marissa Cassini is the story of a woman so obsessed with this perfect vision of her life, and she wants to have the perfect house, and she's kept losing out on them in the bidding process. So, she infiltrates this family who she believes is the has the perfect house, and they're getting ready to sell it, and she's going to be the one, by any means necessary, who gets to give them a very fair offer.
Cruelty-Free by Caroline Glenn, a beautiful book that I think just wanted to fit in with the current market trends in publishing. Ultimately, it was about a mad lady killing everybody, and I didn't love the revenge story as much as I wanted to.
So, you won't get a review from me ever because I don't like it. I have a hard D and F that book. Like, I do not like it.
Fake It Till You Make It was not a very well thought out romance. I don't think it was very well researched. I don't think it was very well written. It's about fake dating, but no, it's not. It was a very half-baked story, pun intended, and it was barely fake dating.
This is a satirical story, but also like about a deeply serious topic. It's about violent extremist women and kind of unqualified maybe women who ends up working within the UN with a bunch of other kind of wacky characters tasked with de-radicalizing ISIS brides. It's serious and fun at the same time and I had a lot of fun with this one, too.
This is a historical novel with some fantasy elements, some romantic elements, but at its heart this is a story about the church's impact on especially women at this time and not being able to do what they want and not being recognized for their scientific contributions.
Kill Creatures, this is a very predictable YA thriller with convenient memory loss and a mean girlfriend group with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer.
Lesser Known Monsters of the 21st Century by Kim Fu is a short story collection. It's set in reality, but is has a speculative element each one of the stories. They're weird, they're quirky, they're fun, and they all have some kind of theme, sometimes connected themes.
I posted three different Buzzword vlogs, one every month, of course. This time around my favorite was the 2000s Made Me Gay that I gave a 4.25.
The Caretaker Hill House Marcus Klewer is a vibey, but ultimately unsatisfying cosmic horror. It was depressing as hell, which is not a fair critique because that's what the book wanted to be, but I did not enjoy myself. And I think it left too many things ambiguous.
The Ending Writes Itself by Evelyn Clark was just a standard mystery. I don't think there's anything egregiously wrong with this. It's predictable, the plot dragged, there was no reveal that I thought was interesting or that it really had an impact on the actual story.
I read three books in this impromptu vlog where I was trying to find really big wins by the end of the month, and I did find a couple. Yesteryear was a 4.25, and the Deja Glitch was also a 4.25.
