Was it worth my time? No, not necessarily. But here's the thing. I ended up not just liking the final third or quarter, loving the final quarter. I really quite enjoyed everything that was building.
My Week with Tentacles 🐙 a reading vlog
I just thought it was well written. The octopus narration was the perfect amount. It wasn't obnoxious. It didn't take over the entire thing.
This was the light, silly read that I needed. And it wasn't pretending to be more than it was, which I appreciate. I'm going to give this three stars. Highly recommend.
I got halfway through it. I don't like the writing. I don't like the vibe of it. I don't like the atmosphere and I don't like what the author is delivering to us in order to get to the weird stuff.
It is the fun tentacle thing that I was looking for, but it's just not very well written. This was not for me. Monster romance remains not for me.
For what it was, I found it really engaging. As far as an introduction to a lot of people about understanding octopuses, I think this was a good book and I had a good time.
