Horror Books to help transition from Teen to Adult Stories

Reviews21

BunnyMona Awad
Loved it

I can't make a horror book video without mentioning bunny but this one really does feel appropriate for this theme it's by Mona aad and it follows Samantha who is joining an MFA program

CarrieStephen King
Loved it

I obviously have to throw a kind of classic and I couldn't go the whole video without of Stephen King Carri is definitely worth going back to

DaphneJosh Malerman
Loved it

now Daphne by Josh malerman a lot of people have not liked this has a kind of low average rating but I think it's perfect for the transitional period of these age ranges

Dead ElevenJimmy Juliano
Mixed

dead 11 by Jimmy Giuliano I definitely recommend I thought that this was going to be a five star when I first started it and it just let me down a little bit

one of them is Haun Sweet Home by Sarah pinsker this is again a girl in a transitional period she's very apathetic doesn't necessarily want a job doesn't care about anything

I'm going to start with one of my favorites of the Year this is a recent release the haunting of Elwood by gwendelyn Ka this follows women in their 30s early 40s however the group of friends is very much mentally stuck in their teens because there was a traumatic event

JackalErin E. Adams
Loved it

Jackal by Aaron E Adams is technically a thriller but it does have horror aspects so I think that I would recommend this more to horror readers than Thriller readers

LoopJeremy Robert Johnson
Mixed

then we have the loop by Jeremy Robert Johnson this is a story of a bunch of adults but also their teenage children and this violence starts occurring at school

Maeve FlyC. J. Leede
Loved it

mayfly by CJ lead which is probably one of the top like three here that are the most like on page violent but there's also a lot of other stuff going on and the violence is graphic but also few and far between

Natural BeautyLing Ling Huang
Loved it

it has again a lot of social commentary on race and beauty standards I really like following a protagonist who's just like kind of Meandering and doesn't really know her own opinions

now plain bad heroins by Emily M Danforth if you are a Vibe person if you are down to read Lush descriptions for many pages and really delve into the characters and the plot takes a little more of a back seat I think you could really be into this one

WitheredA. G. A. Wilmot
Mixed

withered by a wmot is one that is the really traditional haunted house teen story of like moving in the middle of high school and then you're in your like Mom's small town and everybody knows her and everybody knows the house

I really like this because it is a younger protagonist and you get to see her navigating her choices and making decisions for herself standing up for herself I think it's fantastic
