And then, The Way Home Gets Longer and Longer made me sobb, of course.
These Books Should ALL be 5⭐ Reads
It's just a nice story. It's a palatable story. It's simple.
the premise hooked me from the very beginning and I was really intrigued and then it just went on for so long and I feel like it was really dragged out. it could have lost 100 pages in my opinion.
I liked Beartown not as much as like everybody else.
It's interestingly written. it's like surrealist kind of feels like autofiction, like a fake memoir, but also it feels like it's a good amount of like the real author's memoir.
And How's Moving Castle is fine. It's like light and fun. And we're following her as she goes to the castle, which we just got to the castle and I don't care.
I guess where I struggled with this is the pitch of it being about this woman who like voices other women. that wasn't the plot. Like that was not what the story was about at all. So my initial intrigue dissipated pretty quickly.
this seems really heavy. we're following a character who doesn't isn't seen as human, feels incapable of understanding other humans and he's very alienated. there's a suicide attempt and I don't know.
this character is not unlikable. In fact, she is so loved. and I think this story is nice and I feel like I would give it three stars by the end and I would recommend it.
a book I read and loved earlier this year, The Favorites by Lane Fargo, was supposedly inspired by Weathering Heights.
that was a long 70 pages and it's it's dull and it's dry and I bet it gets good and I bet I would like it just fine by the end. Some books I start and I think I'm not going to like and then I do, but I can't push myself through this right now.
not only am I certain this is a five star, but this is my favorite book of the year so far. I'm so happy.
this is going to be a three and a half and I unfortunately don't really have any thoughts to share about it. I didn't dislike it. It was just like a fine read.
