This one I thought was just like a coming of age, but it's it's not. It's a it's a darker story. And it opened up with this woman who is a bartender and she also does photography and she took a photo of an underage boy and his mother came into the bar and smacked her.
I thought for sure The Daytripper would appeal to me right away and I've kind of put it on the back burner and re-reserve it later this year. I don't know that I'm going to. I did not like the narration style of the first chapter. I didn't like the character voice. I just I was not connecting with it.
I did not like what I just read. I just don't like the character voice. I don't think I've been so turned off by a book this quickly in a while.

I'm giving it four stars. At the end of the day I think this was really solid. I really liked it. Definitely recommend it.
