All of this and more I gave a four and a half and The Compound I gave a five.
Best & Worst Books of the Quarter 🌷 stats + community chat
Behooved by M. Stevenson is one of the worst books that I've read. I'm convinced it was written by AI. It was goofy.
It was adventurous. It was fun. I would have liked it to be a little bit steamy, but I'll take what I can get with what did occur between these two in here.
And the best things that I read at like a 4.5 out of five are A Feather So Black and Paladin's Grace.
It had been two years and seven months since I had a five-st star contemporary romance and then Forget Me Not arrived in my life and I'm so happy that it did.
my favorite of the bunch was Julie Chanis Dad at a five star.
the most successful thing that I read was Catabases because this was a 4.5.
It felt very fairy tale. It was really satisfying. It was light-hearted and just up my alley.
And the best things that I read at like a 4.5 out of five are A Feather So Black and Paladin's Grace.
Another one just not for me is Radiance by Grace Draven. This is a fantasy romance that just didn't deliver in the plot or the relationship in a way that I liked. The way that these characters interacted was very annoying.
Tantrum by Rachel Eve Molton. , it's about a demon baby. I think it had a lot of good intent behind it, but it was too confrontational. It was just like arguing for hundreds of pages and it wasn't very interesting.
And this one has been on my TBR for a couple years and it was my favorite from the video. The appeal got a 4.5.
In the second spot is The Compound. I always tell you when I love a book that doesn't necessarily mean it's a recommendation. I was just so fascinated by how we were exploring what humans will do when put in this situation.
I still haven't had a five star 2025 horror, but the one that came the closest is a 4.5, The Possession of Albadzas.
and so I reread the stand because it is inspired by the stand. This remained a five-st star read since the last time I read it which was, you know, two decades ago.
And then, I guess my number one favorite was Walking Practice by Dolki Min, translated by Victoria Codle. This is a disgusting sci-fi horror.
We have We Love You Bunny by Mona Aad. This was a seemingly neverending sequel prequel to Bunny and how this cult of girls originally met and manifested their powers. It was just not for me.
when Javi dumped Mari by Mia Sosa, so sad that this didn't work for me, but these characters had absolutely zero chemistry and I've loved a book by this author before, so I was convinced this was going to be a favorite.
