And I did then read A Million Junes. This was right after Great Big Beautiful Life. I gave it four stars. It gave me everything that I wanted to feel from it.
How much would I read if NO ONE was watching? π (an experiment)
I finished Daisy Hates. I gave this four stars and I think that this was good for me to end up reading.
Then, I did end up reading Deep Cuts right after. This was really good, and I'm trying to figure out like do I review it here?
For example, Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Fairies, I super recommend the audiobooks. I think they are the way to consume that.
The results of this is I didn't actually end up finishing either of these on that trip, because I had no real reason to. And I didn't love either of them, but I didn't have a good enough reason to DNF.
This is when I finished Finley and the Floating Boy. I didn't love either of them.
Well, I'm halfway through Great Big Beautiful Life. If you want an update about that one, I think I'm hating it. I really did not like this book.
I have the first book the entire month that I read in one day. That's not something that I was really expecting this being that because at the end of it I gave it three stars. It got worse as the book went on, but it hooked me from the beginning.
I have another island book on the go and this is so fun and addictive. It's Looking in the Mirror by Catherine Steadman.
Oh man, the first two-thirds of this, I loved this book. I loved it, and I was like, "Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to be reading and enjoying romance." No, let me do the final third of this pissed me off. Like, I did not like this book by the end.
And this was so good. There are so many books most of the books I've absolutely never heard of... I had a good time with it. I'm going to give it a four and I think I want to read more like this throughout the year.
I DNF'd one of my most anticipated reads of the year. the latest Ashley Winstead. I just I got to like the 60% mark. I don't DNF things at 60%, but I have no reason to continue besides wanting to tell you about it. But I just don't understand the point of this book.
This is also when I finished both of these thrillers and gave them four stars each, which is great. Same with like a lot of thrillers these days, You Are Fated to Love because I prefer that experience over the physical one.
