her writing is very flowery magical realism and it was incredible

I highly recommend this the audiobook again especially is amazing

I've read a lot of books about sexual assault and rape culture even some in this list and I've never read one that does it as well as this that takes the perfect stance on it but also shows it from all different angles

and then about the halfway point I realized that this was one of my favorite books of all time

it was devastating it was really hard to read at some points it's relatively graphic in my opinion revolving around girls from the age of like fourteen to eighteen and their experiences it's very timely and intense and just incredibly written and I'm really excited to read more from her

I thought this was really thoughtful and concise and I know people some critique is that it could be longer but I thought it was absolutely perfect and I'm definitely interested to read more from Vivek shreya

I stated in a vlog that this is one of my new favorite books of all time and that I liked it even more than the secret history

I just have really fond memories of reading this and consistently chapter after chapter being like this is it this is the first like incredible book of the year

this surprised me that's for sure because I honestly just didn't think I would love this as much as I did it's written in verse and it's about a girl who falls in love with slam poetry

I liked everything about this I like they was kind of contemporary with a speculative twist I liked their main character was fat the fat rep was great there's a little cute romance in here it dealt with like grief and loss that was really nicely done highly recommend
