I finished Amity. I thought this was fantastic and with it I read a library book and earned another card... It had so much heaviness, but it was filled with so much hope.

And then An Egyptian Cannot Speak English because that's one of those books that doesn't establish who is speaking at the beginning of each chapter and the audiobook has different narrators, so you won't get confused at all if that's something that happens to you in a physical book.
So, I don't have anything bad to say about the book. It's just that the plot itself and the writing just wasn't all that engaging to me. I wasn't like, "Ooh, can't wait to find out what happens."
Oh my gosh, Curse Daughters was so juicy and toxic and I find that I don't always love different generations and different timelines, but I was just itching to get back to each one after I finished the chapter and it kept me so engaged.
I've already read The Compound and Death of the Author and I loved both of those.
This was phenomenal... Let me tell you, this is the best book of the video. This was so incredibly engaging. And I'm so glad that I read it.
I wasn't obsessed with Mexican Gothic the way that everyone else was. So, this is not a big surprise, but there has been Silvia Moreno-Garcia I have loved.
I feel like I'd probably give it a two because it's not a memoir... There was probably one paragraph about her actual learning outside of like just learning about the hares and teaching us about the hares.
even last year in this video, I read The Small and the Mighty, which is such important people... Terribly written, like genuinely poorly written.
I'm sure The Amity Curse is good, and I kind of want to pick this because it's in the fantasy realm... But it started out so boring and info-dumpy, and the kind of info-dump where we have a character who's explaining how the entire world and society and family and lineage of these sea witches works to a character who should maybe already know these things.
the ones that came to mind for their amount of narrators, the favorites, the appeal, You Are Fatally Invited.
this was a three-star. I don't want to call this boring because there were three perspectives, things were always happening, and we were finding things out, but I feel as though a lot of things were very predictable.
I've already read The Compound and Death of the Author and I loved both of those.
I think it's a good recommendation to have in my back pocket. I think it would have a pretty wide appeal. I feel like it's a 3.75 for me, but I might just round it up to a four.
I'm happy to have loved an Alex E. Harrow novel, full-length novel, and I will continue to pick up more from her... The best thing about this book was how self-aware and intentional it feels.
I've read six in fantasy, I would be voting for The Raven Scholar, that hasn't changed.
for production like sound effects, I would say Whale Fall and The River Has Roots because they have little other elements that come into it.
it was beautifully written. There's some beautiful illustrations... It was just it was a little simple for me. I don't know what I'm rating this. I feel like maybe a three, I guess.
The 10,000 Doors of January I still to this day I'm so confused why people are obsessed with it. Like I love the concept of that one. I just think there was too much questionable about it.
This is not a five-star romance, but I want anyone who wants to get in tune with what I'm looking for in a romance to read this... This is a 4.25. It was It was very good for me.
I have finished Vera Wong book number two... it felt a little too expected in the way that I would not continue in the series at this point, but I would still give this I guess slightly less than the first book. So, if I gave the first one a four, 4.25, this is like a 3.75 to a four. Still had a great time, love the warm environment.
for production like sound effects, I would say Whale Fall and The River Has Roots because they have little other elements that come into it.
Final thoughts. This was really solid... I thought this was really good for a debut and I would read this author again.
I'd be voting for Wuthering Heights, so that hasn't been changed in fiction though I've now read three from the category.
