I don't think I'd be lying if I said that I cried at every single story I read this I think in one sitting on a train and the stories were so powerful so amazing

I love both of the stories in here a lot and I think they're really well done both of them deal mainly with themes of grief but also with themes of gender identity with themes of growing up and coming of age

her novel meeting the English is brilliant as well

this short story collection is probably my favorite thing about her and I absolutely loved it she wrote in a really clear and beautiful way these are generally realist short stories

I think the stories in here are so well done so powerful have interesting points of great emotion amongst the revenge and are often quite shocking.

it's an incredibly satisfying and rewarding book to read I love the setting and I think it's explored very well I love arena McDonough was writing I think it is really beautiful
