My Favourite Historical Fiction

Reviews15

number eight I have a place called winter by Patrick Gale this is a wonderful novel which I read last year and absolutely loved it set in Edwardian England and Canada before a backward Harry

AffinitySarah Waters
Loved it

it is so clever it is so twisty like the historic setting is perfect and so well explored and the way they looked at the position of women in Victorian society like all of Sarah waters books it's just fantastic

Life After LifeKate Atkinson
Loved it

number 15 I have life after life by Kate Atkinson this is a brilliant novel that I really love it is a slightly fantastical historical fiction novel

number 12 I have now we should be entirely free but Andrew Miller this were actually shortlisted for the world to Scott Prize this year and then it was my favorite to win though it did not win it was definitely my favorite of the ones that I read

The LuminariesEleanor Catton
Loved it

number five I have the luminaries by Ellen a cotton I'm glad to be able to clap this because I feel like I haven't spoken about this book for ages and I did love it so much it's such a good book

The WonderEmma Donoghue
Loved it

number two you I have the wonder by Emma Donoghue this is another one that I've read earlier this year I'm really loved so much

this book contains all of the things that I love in historical fiction the Victorian period exploration of themes that were not written about much or couldn't be explored in the Victorian period and really fantastic central characters

but anyway when we were orphaned by Catholic sugar is a brilliant book and I think really underrated because I he'll never let me go and they're amazed they talked about a lot but this is my third favorite book often by him after both you and I think it's fantastic
