Coming Through Slaughter - Michael Ondaatje BOOK REVIEW

Reviews1

It's more of a poetic suggestion with a lot of flair than it is a moving portrait. I never really cared emotionally about any of the characters. This is because of the brevity and the fragmentary perspective shifting nature of the book, which, don't get me wrong, is very cool, and I feel a totally interesting and viable manner in which to write a novel, but I think it's a double-edged sword, right?
