This book had so much potential. Especially where it was set and what it was doing with culture and commentary. But it took a spin in the storyline that I just... I couldn't get behind and I didn't enjoy.

This is the start of their second sci-fi series. I really enjoyed where they're going with this story.
They're starting to do things with the characters that I don't really care for and it might be because I'm so invested in the original Buffy universe that this reboot series is not hitting me the right way.
This is a book that I have wanted to read for a very, very long time but when it came down to it, this story was subpar. I was so disappointed in the direction that it went and how it handled the characters and what it was trying to do that I...
It was not at all about buying the love of reading. It was a total mess of human and more of how to buy the love of writing then how to buy the love of reading.
This felt a little bit like a Buffy ripoff. Except for the Buffy character in this book was really annoying. I didn't really enjoy her character at all.
personal opinion, but I did really enjoy the journey that this one gave me.
I really enjoyed this manga. It is a dark and dirty look into a almost post-apocalyptic world. And has this very fairy tale like feel to it.
Her writing is absolutely phenomenal. It is magical and it's very atmospheric. It has this quality that I have come to associate with Juliet Marillier's writing in her Sevenwaters series.
But then you get this magical twist with the gumiho and you start to learn what that means. Just the story behind that type of creature and how this world is building up and where it is going, I really, really like this book.
