And Beware of Chicken is one of those ones where I started it, didn't think I was going to like it. I was just like, "That's not for me." And then I came back and I gave it a second try and I binged four books back-to-back-to-back-to-back.

There's just so much captured within I would say a relatively reasonably sized novel that it's just fantastic. And we deal with so many strong, strong themes here within Black Wind.
This book is incredibly special. It's this kind of surreal coming-of-age with some horror and voodoo women.
And while Crucible isn't my favorite entry in the series, I've gotten choked up while reading the book or listening to the audiobook. Either way, the book the book's character moments are just choking me up.

This is fantasy western done incredibly well. I don't know. I just whenever I pick up a Kal Black book, my brain comes alive, and I start relating to the characters, the way that the magic works, the way that we have these characters written.
Phantoms was really good.
Snuff is just like with the just ice. Like I don't know, there's these certain lines that just jump out at you and I just love it so incredibly much that Discworld has to make this list.
This is just really solid fantasy tropes executed incredibly well to where we get the animal companion, we get the grumpy kind of strider mentor character, and we've got this young woman who's from nobility, doesn't know what's going on, and they make this found family that just works so incredibly well for me.
I first picked up The Shining in college and I read it and I loved it and I sat down and I just slowly made my way through this haunted house story and this character study and what it's like to descend and be haunted and to let your deeper vices grip you and corrupt you.
These Isaac Bell books are just so incredibly good. They're set in the early 1900s and we're following the Van Dorn Detective Agency. I'm currently on The Spy which is book number three and I think this is the fourth Clive Cussler book I've read in the last like five or six months.
Watchers was a phenomenal.
