I did read A Great Big Beautiful Life. I guess I could have included this for disappointment as well, but it wasn't that disappointing. Like I just thought it was okay.
the best & worst books/movies/shows i've read & watched so far this year 📖🎬
My biggest problem with this is that I think this book is just setup. I can't judge it because it feels like a prologue essentially to whatever is going to be in the remainder of the series.
The best book I've read so far this year is Martyr by Kakbar. I read this in February and I haven't read anything nearly as good since.
I really enjoyed this. This is not like a new favorite or anything like that, but it was a fascinating read.
Maybe Persuasion. I reread Persuasion this year. This kind of made me happy.
I still loved the book. I just think that the original trilogy and controversially that Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes are actually better than this one.
Rereading The Hunger Games. That did not make me happy. Actually, that just made me more depressed.
This is the author of The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches which is to this day still my favorite romance novel. I love that book
I didn't even like love this book or anything. I just really enjoyed the process of reading it.
My biggest problem was that I just thought that the main two characters who have like a romance between them, which is a driving force of this story, had no chemistry. And so, it just really didn't work for me.
this is one of my favorite classic novels of all time, and that is this gorgeous, gorgeous, like burgundy leather edition of Withering Heights.
