These books are one of my favorite ways to just dip my toe into creativity when I have a spare moment. I highly recommend them for just keeping on your coffee table and using as something that you can reach for instead of your phone when you have a spare moment.

So, I've been reading Theo of Golden by Allen Levi and I am enjoying it so far.
I did pull out a quote about what create is going to mean for me this year from Rhythms of Renewal. In that book, she defines creating as using your specific talents, skills, and callings to live deeper into your godgiven purpose. I love that idea and that is exactly what I want to do this year.
Read some more great books, including I Capture the Castle in preparation for our Abiding Journal book club. That was our soft launch pick that we did at the end of 2025 and we're going to actually be discussing this week.
This is a true story of a Christian woman and her sister who end up in a concentration camp during World War II because they were hiding Jews in their home. And it is a phenomenal story of bravery and courage and hope and faith. cannot recommend it enough.
my November books that I read, including Tom Sawyer, When the Day Comes, Frankenstein, and The Hiding Place. A really good reading month. Everyone is above 4.5 stars.

And then Beholding and Becoming might be my favorite. And this one is the art of everyday worship.
Pilgrim, which I love this one. It's all about ways God's character leads us onward.
And one of the reasons I love these books is because they're not only fantastic to read and enjoy and to do as a daily devotional, but they're fantastic [for decorating with].
This is actually the one that I read last year and just really enjoyed and I know that it's one I'll revisit again for future advents.
I've been listening each day as I go through to the hymn for that day and then reading about it. And it's just been a really lovely practice to start my day throughout Advent with listening to a beautiful hymn and reflecting on it.
They all are very, very short, maybe three to four lines each, and are essentially Britney just jotting down almost like a journal entry, just like a small little reflection on something she's experiencing that day.
These poems make a really sweet gift because they're really meant to just kind of be picked up and flipped through to just get a reflection for the day. They're just so simple and beautiful.
Truly, if you want good, wholesome books for your children, these are it. highly recommend.
And then the entire series just continues with the perspective of a different character that you meet in the first book. So this one follows Daniel and then the last one follows Jada.
Basically, Kimmy, the main character in the first book, Roadtrip Rescue, she is born with only part of her arm. It's a very heartwarming tale and I highly recommend it.
If you love lyrical writing, her writing is so lyrical and beautiful. The way that she ties things together from the beginning of a chapter to the end of it, it just is my cup of tea. It is great literary fiction.
In the Bible, there are these gorgeous illustrations throughout in these really just beautiful, rich colors. I absolutely love all of these illustrations.
This is one, the tiny book of tiny pleasures by FL magazine that I recommend all the time. And it is so many cute little illustrations paired with these really sweet captions of tiny pleasures of life... I have so many pages in my journals that use the illustrations from this book.
She also has one on mindful sketching, which would be fantastic for somebody who wants to keep more of like an illustrated diary and actually sketch what's happening around them and do it in a way that is mindful as the book says and is also not about perfection. That is something I really enjoyed about this one.
which I read the whole book first, so I actually enjoyed the book very much just reading through it. But it's essentially this woman's diary. It's very Daphne's diaryesque.
