It feels almost like a medieval ghost story. like the way that the faye or like the fairy folk are talked about is really reminiscent of this book that I love called Lud in the Mist, which is a pre-Tolken fantasy about fairy folk.

But I also was able to finish Catherine Ardan's The Unicorn Hunters last night before bed and it was so good. It was everything. It was just so stunning.
Love at first fright. It's just okay. I don't want to say it's bad. It's just not my style. I don't like a lot of romance.
Got Real by Kennedy Ryan. These books are horrible. I genuinely don't understand. I genuinely think these are only popular because they look pretty in like an Instagram post.
I also think I'm going to get rid of Ava Reads The Wolf and the Woodsman. Maybe, I don't know. Here's the thing. I didn't like or maybe I'll keep that one actually. Never mind.
I listened to or I started The Time Traveler's Guide to Regency England, which is a non-fiction book that is exactly what it sounds like. And I'm also really enjoying it. The audiobook is really good. The author is reading it himself and he has such a good history professor voice.
I ended up finishing A Sorcerer's Comes to Call like T. Kingfisher this morning and I really liked it overall. I do definitely think that there are other books by this author that I will like more. For me it did get a little bit gorier and like scarier than I think I was just like in the mood for right now.
I am going to get rid of A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross cuz I read it, I liked it, I didn't love it. I don't need to own it.
I know I'm going to get rid of Bride by Ali Hazelwood. I just I didn't I tried this and I ended up I just didn't love the writing.
it reminds me so much, if you guys as children read either the Alice series by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor or the Dear America slash the like princess version of those books, that was like my obsession. Like those two three series were like everything to me as a youth

I'm on the third book right now. There are eight books out so far. I literally feel dread at the idea of being fully caught up on the series because I love it and the characters and the world so much.
I think the only one I can really think of is A Dowry of Blood, which I really loved.
I would recommend it if you are a fan of like Once Upon a Broken Heart or Once Upon a whatever that book is.
I wanted to update my commonplace book with some quotes from Sunburn because there were just so many quotes in here that I highlighted and really loved... Like the imagery in that book was just so breathtaking and beautiful.
I'm reading Box Hill, which is the book that the film Pillion is based off of... I'm about halfway through it already. It's a really short book. And I am really liking it.
And then I've been listening to this Fatal Kiss by Alicia Jasinska and I'm really loving it. It's so whimsical. It's kind of like exactly what I wanted fantasy-wise and I am loving the romance of it all.
I loved this book and it is going in my like top yearning books list with like Song of Achilles and I can't think of other ones right now, but there's a list and this one's going in that and I loved it.
