View all videosAnd then, Force of Nature, which takes place a few months after The Dry, that one I didn't love the mystery as much but the characters were so good in that book.
This book was amazing. I loved this book so much.
There are a lot of people that love this book. The hype is real and it is strong and I agree that it pretty much lives up to the hype. It wasn't quite up there with the hype but it was very close to it.
I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did, which is always a pleasant surprise.
I really enjoyed this story. I liked the mystery in this one. There were a few moment that were a little slow, but overall, it was really awesome.
I really enjoyed this one. It's stuck with me and I also just love this cover so much.
she wrote The Enchanted which was my favorite book that I read in 2017
I did not like the one that I read I felt she had no concern for anybody else's safety much less her own she didn't take Direction well for a scientist
Jeremy and I think he was meant to be this way was just so irritatingly just unmotivated as a person and like had resigned himself to the fact that like he was this Outcast teenager and no one was ever going to like him
the way it was told I think really appeals to some people and it did not work for me because she was trying to tell the story of these women from both sides of the suffrage movement it just felt so long and I had a month to read it and I finished it with 5 minutes to spare
I was disappointed Beyond even what I had prepared myself for and it just really made me sad because I wanted to like it and there were certain parts of it that I did like but it took me a really long time to read it
I was so used to the characterizations of each of the Gods in Percy Jackson that reading them stylized in a different way was very offputting
I felt like the graphic novel Focus way too much on the grief and loss and got so deep into it that I wasn't really prepared for that and I missed like the travel aspect of it
the moments of creepiness were few and far between unfortunately so you'd get three chapters of high society nonsense which was boring as hell and I just didn't care and then you'd get one chapter where something really freaking weird happens
I still gave it three stars because I felt like the story was there but I just wanted more like I didn't hate it but I was definitely disappointed
I filmed an entire book discussion on this because this one really made me think. It's not a long book but it delves into some interesting topics stemming from the nonfiction story of a man who decided to leave society behind and go live in the Maine woods for 27 years.
This was a book that I was not expecting to like as much as I did. I got really sucked into the lives of these women and their relationships with each other, their husbands, who were the presidents...
It's not a perfect book but it is so powerful and that's why it's number two on my list.
The fact that I listened to all five of these books does say a lot about how much I liked the world that the stories took place in. I really enjoyed the establishing of the world in the original Grisha Trilogy but the characters in the Six of Crows duology were much more my style.
If I had to choose I'd probably say Six of Crows was my favorite. I really enjoyed the establishing of the world in the original Grisha Trilogy but the characters in the Six of Crows duology were much more my style.
After I was able to push through the first little bit and get used to the writing style, this book, oh man. I was hooked... I cared so much about these characters. It was heartbreaking. It was moving.
I had such a good time reading the book. It is very self-reflective. It's not like a fluffy, fun graphic novel all the time.
It's just one of those kinds of books that I enjoy and it's also one of those books that you just can't put down... it absolutely deserves a spot on this list for the amount of time I spent just thinking about it and worrying for these characters and being completely gripped in by this story.
