Anne Shirley has left Redmond College behind to begin a new job and a new chapter of her life away from Green Gables. Now she faces a new challenge: the Pringles. They're known as the royal family of Summerside--and they quickly let Anne know she is not the person they had wanted as principal of Summerside High School. But as she settles into the cozy tower room at Windy Poplars, Anne finds she has great allies in the widows Aunt Kate and Aunt Chatty--and in their irrepressible housekeeper, Rebecca Dew. As Anne learns Summerside's strangest secrets, winning the support of the prickly Pringles becomes only the first of her delicious triumphs.

But then Maggie dies, and Corinne quickly learns that the only thing worse than losing Maggie is being left heartbroken over a relationship no one knows existed. And to make things even more complicated, the only person she can turn to is Elissa—Maggie's ex, and the single person who understands how Corinne is feeling. But to move forward after losing Maggie, Corinne will have to learn to be honest with the people in her life...starting with herself.

then my least favorite of all the anac cre Gables books is actually an of windy populars this is more of an eper novel is that how you say it when it's in letter format because it's Ann writing to Gilbert not all of it but a good chunk of it is letters and I've never been a fan of that format and so I always struggle with this one whenever I get to it in the series
